Leading civilian UK centre of excellence for military health research

You can call Samaritans any time on 116 123.

If you are approaching discharge from the military (within 2 years) or recently left service (5 years), you may benefit from the new Emotional Health and Wellbeing app created by Samaritans, leaders in the field of emotional wellbeing. The app is easy to use and will help individuals with the emotional side of transition, combining information, real life stories, self-help prompts and signposting to support organisations. Think of it as an emotional health MOT before you start the newest chapter of your life.

If you would like to take part, you will be among the first users trying this app (see QR code below). You will be able to help Samaritans improve the app by taking part in an independent research study led us at King’s College London. You will be helping us to learn what you like about the app, and what you think could be improved, so that we can ensure that it better supports those transitioning out of the military.

You can participate in two ways:

  • After using the app, you will find a short survey that will take around 5-10 mins to provide some information and your opinions of the app
  • You can take part in a telephone conversation and will receive a £25 Amazon e-voucher as a thank you for your time.
